Sledge Roffo

An artist in his first life, Roffo has utilized all his creative skills to make the most of Second Life's capabilities.  First, he builds a 3D sculpture using SL tools.  Then, he photographs the sculptures from a variety of angles with a different kinds of lighting.  The results, as you can see on the left, are stunning.

To see more of Roffo's work, please visit the library at Storybook Island, home of The Virtual World Story Project (see SLURL below).

From Sledge's Bio
I started making art in Second Life (well, it was a little clumsy at first ) in June 2008, working with Sachi Nozaki, who was my partner at the time.  We worked independently but side by side making discoveries every day.  In August, I coined the word "Primagery" to describe what we do -- in ordinary terms its creating prim groupings in a so-called "still life" arrangement, texturing them and modeling them and then taking snapshots from various angles.

In RL, I am a career Construction Project Manager.   I have a Bachelor of Fine Arts, majoring in Painting.    I thought I would have to wait until I retire to do anything...but Second Life has me hooked.  I don't know anything about Photoshop and don't use it.  I'd never made a piece of digital art until I came here.
